You're Invited to a
Rancher Government Solutions Rodeo!

About the RGS Rodeo

Rancher Government Solutions Rodeos are free and in-depth workshops designed to give Infrastructure and DevSecOps teams, across the government, hands-on skills they need to deploy and manage Applications and Kubernetes with Rancher anywhere and everywhere.

The content will be delivered by technical experts from Rancher Government Solutions and aims to educate government teams interested in learning how to leverage cloud native solutions to increase development velocity and reduce operational challenges with Rancher.

During these hands-on workshops, our technical experts will provide an overview of Rancher Government Solutions, Kubernetes, and show how easily Rancher enables scalable, secure, and highly available workloads on any infrastructure with its fully open-source product stack.

Including government and security focused features such as DISA STIGS, CIS Benchmarks, FIPS 2 Compliance, RBAC Authentication, SELinux, and more!

The key topics and outcomes that will be covered at the Rancher Government Solutions Rodeos include:

  • Kubernetes Concepts and Architecture
  • Installation and Configuration of the Rancher Stack
    • Rancher RKE2, Rancher Multi-Cluster Manager, Longhorn, NeuVector, and Fleet
  • Understanding of the challenges within Kubernetes and the simplicity with Rancher
  • Best practices with the Rancher Stack and solving the complexities of Infrastructure as Code, Security and Compliance, Application Deployment with GitOps, and Cluster Lifecycle Management

Requirements

Attendees should have a basic working knowledge of containers and virtual machines. If you have an understanding of Kubernetes, that only helps!

Training sessions are taught using a browser-based interactive coding platform, known as HobbyFarm. This platform allows users to access virtualized resources through the browser. Each user will have terminal access to their own set of virtual machines, while following prepared learning courses and scenarios. Access will be provided at the Rodeo.

Bring your own laptop, and having general awareness of Kubernetes and Linux would be helpful.  Our workshop is hosted in AWS, so please ensure you won't have issues accessing AWS from your machine and that connecting to Hilton's WiFi network will not be a problem.

Who We Are

Rancher Government Solutions is specifically designed to address the unique security and operational needs of the U.S. Government and military as it relates to application modernization, containers, and Kubernetes.

Rancher is a complete open-source software stack for teams adopting containers. It addresses the operational and security challenges of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters at scale while providing DevOps teams with integrated tools for running containerized workloads.

RGS supports all Rancher products with U.S. based American citizens with the highest security clearances who are currently supporting programs across the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies.
